Today, February 23, 2020, the Service of Holy Closure was conducted for the congregation of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Hiram, GA.
Holy Cross Lutheran was organized in 2002 and had their final service was on February 23,2020.
Pastor Julie Crosby preached and presided. Assistant to the Bishop, Pastor Jill Henning assisted in the service and presided over the closing.
Holy Cross Lutheran Church leaves a legacy that will assist new and renewing congregations, provide leadership opportunity for pastors and deacons, seminary scholarships at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, Lutheranch and the Milagro School in our companion Synod in Guatemala, as well as supporting local charities in the Hiram community. Their mission and ministry will continue to build up the work of the Gospel beyond their time as a congregation and for that we give thanks.
