Dear Church,
We give thanks for the ELCA Churchwide election of Imran Siddiqui as ELCA VP. I am also delighted to announce that Ms. Phyllis Solgere has accepted my asking her to serve as Interim VP of the Synod. She will begin following this September meeting and lead us through the June 2023 Southeastern Synod Assembly.
At the 2023 Synod Assembly, we will elect a new VP. That person will fulfill the remainder of Imran Siddiqui's unexpired term.
