Community Video Extravaganza: This year, instead of our traditional talent show format, we want to offer you the opportunity to showcase your talents, humor, and weird funny video abilities! Be it song, dance, tik tok trend, or whatever you come up with that is appropriate, send us a 30-60 second video that we can add into a montage of all our communities’ skills. Feel free to collaborate with your friends, including those who may not be able to be at E-firm! We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Send your submission here by 6/17. Make sure to be respectful of the Affirm Community Guidelines not limited to but including dress code and appropriate not-explicit audio. If your submission is inappropriate or breaks the community guidelines, it will not be included. Feel free to email Noah and Taryn at (video extravaganza email) if you have any specific questions. See ya on Saturday, June 26!
Affirm is a Summer Youth Event of the ELCA Southeastern Synod typically held at the University of West Alabama in Livingston, Alabama. Affirm nurtures faith, equips youth leaders for today and tomorrow, and trains youth in discipleship skills. Affirm is for youth who have completed grades 6-12 and the Young Adult and Youth Ministry Institute (YAYMI) is held simultaneously with AFFIRM For college freshman and sophomores interested in exploring a call to youth ministry. Affirm is based on 10 different age appropriate leadership and discipleship units. Each of these units are staffed by small group leaders and a pair of unit directors. Youth will spend about 6 hours each day in experiential learning with games, skits, and discussion.
Those who wish to serve as staff will have an opportunity to apply in late April 2021.
