Payment: You may pay online during the registration process, or you may send one check per congregation made out to: ELCA Southeastern Synod. If paying by check, mail to: Laurie Tinc, Epiphany Lutheran Church, 1350 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Suwanee, GA 30024.
Medical Release / Permission Form / Community Covenant: You will have an opportunity to indicate that you will have reviewed the gneral permission form and community covenant when you register online. We ask that you print medical release forms and bring them with you to the event.
Registration Confirmation: Confirmation emails will be sent to the Primary Group Leader. You will receive a schedule, packing list, small group materials, and any other necessary information.
Adult Leaders: Congregations must register 1 adult leader (25 years or older) with every 5 youth. Example: 15 youth need 3 adults. If you register 5 or fewer youth, the accompanying adult may be of either gender. If you register more than 5 youth (both males and females) your adults must be of both genders. Adult congregational leaders are responsible for their own youth at the event.
All adults attending any synod youth event will have a satisfactory background check prior to their arrival. It is the responsibility of your congregation to complete this prior to the event and include a copy with your payment and group form. The synod has contracted with Safe Gatherings an Online Boundary Training and Background Check Company for your convenience. Go online to www.safegatherings.com. Adults who use Safe Gatherings do not have to send a copy of their Background check. Instead, mark SG on the Group Form so that the synod can confirm its complete.
Housing Information: Youth and adult leaders will be housed within their group according to male/female. Your group will share cabins with other youth from across the state. If you have any special requests for lodging, contact the registrar, Laurie Tinc (laurie.tinc@epiphanysuwanee.org).
Small Group Materials: Materials will be sent to group leaders via email and group leaders will pick from their group a few small group leaders and pass along small group materials to them. Youth will be divided up into age-appropriate groups and will be a mix of youth from different churches. It is important that the adults are prepared to provide an excellent small group experience for the youth participants.
Special Offering for Camp Grace: we will be collecting an offering to support Camp Grace in their ministry. Items needed are: medical / first aid supplies (bandaids, wraps, gauze, neosporin, tylenol, etc). Please be sure to bring as many of the items as you can. Thank you.
