Faith Alive
SE Synod Confirmation Camp at Lutheridge, June 7-12, 2009
Do the youth in our congregations understand and appreciate Lutheran liturgical worship? Are they stirred by the music, the language, and the ritual action? Do they find hope and peace in confession, and absolution? How deeply are they stirred in the Word, or claimed in the Sacraments?
This summer, June 7-12, 2009, there will be a unique opportunity for youth from the Southeastern Synod to attend week-long Confirmation Camp at Lutheridge, and to study Lutheran worship in greater depth. This special Faith Alive! experience will be different from other Confirmation Camps in that youth can sign up individually, and are not required to come with their pastor or congregational group.
In addition, this Faith Alive! camp experience will be led by our SE Synod staff, along with the counselors and leaders at Lutheridge. Pastor Nancy Christensen will be at camp for the entire week, and she will be joined by Bishop Gordy, Youth Coordinator Rachel Alley, and the other Assistants to the Bishop, who will come for shorter segments during the week.
To sign up for Faith Alive! Lutherans Worship! go to the regular camp registration, found at www.llmi.net , Middle School Summer Youth Programs at Lutheridge.
